Toddler Approved: Matcha Green Tea & Chia Pudding
February 23, 2016
OMG – I have found one of the best foods for Donovan and it is super easy to make! I have made it twice already.
Introducing Matcha Green Tea & Chia Pudding!
It is so simple to make. I use 3 tablespoons of Go Matcha Green Tea Latte Powder, 8 ounces of water, and two tablespoons of chia seeds. You simply mix the ingredients and refrigerate it in a covered bowl overnight.
Go Matcha Green Tea Latte has the following ingredients: coconut granules, coconut oil, non-dairy creamer, organic matcha powder, green tea and vanilla extracts.
I liked this blend because it didn’t contain sugar and the ingredients were easy to read. If you wanted to make this with pure matcha green tea powder, then you may need to sweeten it with honey or coconut milk. Adding raw honey has its own benefits – just be sure not to give it to a baby under 1 year old.
- Matcha Green Tea is loaded with antioxidants (including the powerful EGCg known for it’s cancer-fighting abilities), has calming and relaxing powers, detoxifies effectively and naturally, is rich in fiber, chlorophyll, vitamin c, selenium, chromium, zinc, and magnesium.
- Chia Seeds are loaded with iron (6 times that of spinach), has 64% more potassium than bananas, more niacin than corn, rice, & soy, 6 times more calcium than milk, 41% of your daily fiber, 100% more omega 3 fatty acids than salmon, and 32% of your recommended dose of magnesium.
